    This is the second part of our interview with mountaineer Gerardo Lopez. Gerardo started climbing at the age of 12 and since then he has travelled around the world, visiting almost 90 countries and climbing most of highest mountains in America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. His most notable achievement to date has been summiting Mount Everest that he accomplished in 2009 becoming, at the age of 30 only the 26th person from Mexico to do so. Over the next year or two, Gerardo would like to take on K2 in Pakistan and do an unsupported crossing in Antarctica. In this episode we discuss his training and his diet for climb's like Everest, how much experience is needed and most notably his current preparations to climb the world's most dangerous peak and the pinnacle of mountaineering, Pakistan's K2.     This new episode is a sit down with Michael Inglis. Michael is a sport, performance, and exercise psychologist and has been working in the mental health field since 1999. His own practice The Mind Room is a wellbeing and performance psychology practice that focuses on individual maximisation of potential as well as responding to clinical issues. He also has recently been appointed the role of sport psychologist at the North Melbourne Football Club in the AFL. Diving right into the podcast, we had a great time talking to Michael about the sorts of techniques both athletes and everyday people alike can put in place to make their goals more achievable and realistic. Michael helped us to analyse some of our own thought processes and taught us how to apply mindfulness and visualisation practices to our own training.     This episode features Deanna Blegg. Deanna is an inspirational woman who has truly done it all. Let me tell you a little about Deanna. Deanna began her early sporting life as a triathlete. She was so successful in her field that she ended up representing Australia in the 1990 Commonwealth Games. Shortly after the Commonwealth Games Deanna began travelling the world. During this stint of travelling she spent time volunteering in Africa at which point she contracted the HIV virus. Many years passed for Deanna as she came to grips with the diagnosis, being told multiple times she had X months to live. Deanna decided life was too short to dwell on an illness that she cannot control so set out to take her life back. Fast forward 20 years and she is happily married with 2 children and has began a successful career as an obstacle/adventure racer.
