Derek Starkey’s main goal in life is to connect with our community in as many ways as he can to be able to utilize his knack for collecting tools and supplies to help create opportunities. His workshops allow the public to build almost anything for free. They are also designed to help people solve problems in their life and help spark creativity. Because downtown Kennewick is focused on becoming a creative district he designed a collection of mobile art stops where people can use art supplies and even display their art. With a very difficult start in life, he was challenged and slowly lost hope for potential growth. Things quickly changed when learning to be grateful so he developed techniques for practicing gratitude and amplifying his life.
