The Avs lose a tough game 1 against the Jets after a performance from Georgiev that left Mike and mark scratching their heads. Do they have to bench him in the next game? Meanwhile, the Nuggets roll past the Lakers in game one leaving everyone questioning where this “new look” Laker team went? Or are the Nuggets just a better team? Who knows! We do know that Jokic was getting his flowers.

Mike and Stink go over some very telling stats from the Nugs vs. Lakers game one and the assist to turnover ratio and free throw discrepancies are ridiculous. The Nuggets didn’t shoot a single free throw in the second half…imagine if they were getting calls! Are there reasons to feel good after the Avs loss? Jared Bednar doesn’t think there’s anything to freak out about. Finally, Jokic is Gru and MPJ shows incredible mental toughness.

The biggest concern for the Nuggets is the bench according to Mike and our own James Merilatt. Stink doesn’t buy into that concern. James Merilatt joins the show to defend his point. The Broncos have released all of the images and promo for the new uniforms and Mike and Mark are thoroughly disappointed. Why can’t they just give the fans what we want! Mike and Stink are getting ready for a big day tomorrow as the Nuggets take on the Lakers in game one of the 1st round! We hear from Jamal Murray who understands that this is a much different team than last years. The Avs will be facing Winnipeg in the 1st round of the NHL Playoffs- what’re the discrepancies between these two teams that the Avs will have to overcome?

The guys give their playoff projections for the Avs and the Nuggets before we get to the Payton and Paton audio from yesterdays pressers. Then, Showtime Laker great and current LA broadcaster Mychal Thompson joins the show to tell us what he knows the Lakers will have to do to beat the Nuggets and how Jokic would fit in during the Showtime era.

The Nuggets and Lakers had somewhat of a media day yesterday where we heard a lot from Coach Malone on this upcoming series and what it’ll be like for the Nugs to play with a target on their backs. Then, the guys get surprised when our own Denversports.com’s Cecil Lammey showed up to the studio and chats with them about the draft and what we’ll most likely see from the Broncos. Finally, Denver Post Insider Troy Renck joins the show to debate the worst Denver sports contracts of all time and Nuggets vs. Lakers round 1.

Man, Kris Bryant…you really can’t make this stuff up. Is his contract atop the Mount Rushmore of the worst CO sports contracts of all time? Mike was devastated that the Broncos weren’t on Deion Sanders’ list of teams his boys can play for. Well, Deion denies that this lost is even real! Then, Zach Bye comes after Mike on the afternoon drive questioning what mike said about Deion’s portal strategy. Finally, Sal Paolantonio from ESPNs NFL Matchup joins to the show and gives great insight and the available QB’s in the draft and where they’re likely to end up. Oh, and the possibility of seeing Robert Kraft do a cartwheel.

Mike and mark cut Landeskog some slack in terms of the worst contract conversation and say it is not his responsibility to come back and take the Avs to a final appearance. Stink remixes an ABBA song in his honor. The guys update listeners on the Jontay Porter situation before we hear from Michael Malone on how MPJ is coping with all the drama. Jamal Murray says he and Jokic are the best duo in the NBA. How do we feel about him making comments like this out there in the open?
