Jesus came and lived and died for us while we were naive, lazy, and wicked. And Jesus came and lived and died to free us from being naive, lazy and wicked.

Wisdom seeks sexual pleasure as God designed it to be enjoyed—within the created bounds of biblical marriage.

Proverbs 4 tells us of two generations, two paths, and two hearts. The main love of your heart will direct your path and have an influence on your generations.

Proverbs 3 teaches us how to get what we really want, what to do when we don’t, and ultimately, what we really really want.

The Lord gives wisdom to those who earnestly seek it, delivering them from evil and its eternal consequences.

Wisdom calls out to everyone resulting in two responses leading to two ends.

Wisdom is offered to you. It warns and counsels and guides. And the aim of wisdom is to beautify your life.

The goal of Proverbs is to make you wise, but to make any progress toward this goal, you've gotta have the key.

God strengthens us by the gospel, to live out the obedience of faith, which displays the glory of God.

Diversity + Gospel Unity = Gospel Harmony

Gospel unity is vital to gospel mission because it produces gospel partnership to the glory of God. But it all depends upon prayer.

Three motivations for pursuing unity in the church: the example of Christ, the glory of God, and the plan of salvation.

The gospel of Jesus unites us despite our disagreements over tertiary issues... and the same gospel of Jesus guards us from dividing over these tertiary issues.

Love your neighbor because love is the fulfilling of the law; wake up because Christ is soon to return.

We are to be subject to the governing authorities.

What Jesus did impacts what you and I do—it impacts everything. And what Jesus is doing now does as well.

Genuine love is immensely practical and it marks us as Jesus people.

Don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought, but with sober judgment.

In light of God's mercies, we are to give ourselves wholly to God—living a life of non-conformity to the world and being transformed by the renewal of our minds.

Paul explains a mystery in this text. The mystery is all about God's mercy. And this mystery about God's mercy causes Paul to marvel over God's sovereignty. It should cause us to do likewise!
