If I've accepted Jesus as my saviour and the Spirit of God lives in me, why does the Bible also talk so much about God being present when we gather - and do I really need to come every week? How does gathering together shape us to love AND like each other, and where does engaging with the Bible fit into all of this? We're back, and starting 2025 with our 1 Peter series. As we enter into this new year we're working our way through 1 Peter - a book about unshakable hope in uncertain times. Paul and Dave chat about how the introduction to the book help us focus on who we are over what's happening around us, and why coming back to our identity in Christ is so important. Why should we give our money away, how much of it, and to who or what? When it comes to money, we often want clear answers and lines. As we've been exploring in our sermon series, we're invited to give freely and sacrificially to loosen money's control over us. Dave and Paul chat about tithing, why we give to the church, and practical next steps for all of us as we manage money - no matter how much or little we have to steward.

When we look up, what's the vision of the future we see for us at Compass Point? We long to see our lives, homes, and communities increasingly changed to reflect the way of Jesus - people who make a commitment instead of only a decision, know Jesus rather just knowing about him, and are growing in influence rather than creating an impact.
