And the pay gap is even wider for women of color, with Black women earning only 63 cents and Latinas earning just 55 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men. But it's not just statistics that show the reality of the pay gap. In 2021, the U.S. women's national soccer team sued the U.S. Soccer Federation for gender discrimination, citing pay disparities and other unequal treatment.
