The planet Madisca, 2 cities one of the rational Scientists the other of the superstitious Wizards live in uneasy unity. Until one day the Scientists power source breaks down and it's a race against time to find a new one before winter arrives and they all freeze to death. With the wizards unwilling to help them their only hope is the legendary city of gamma. Problem is nobody knows if it really exists.
