Sophie Schiller's book, Transfer Day, is a special edition of Spy Island that was written to commemorate the upcoming 100th Anniversary of Transfer Day (1917-2017). Today's date is March 31, 2015, the 98th anniversary of the original Transfer Day. The pictures in the slideshow have red and white border to commemorate The Danish flag. Soren Jensen is a Danish journalist on a mission. He's traveling to St. Thomas to pursue a human interest story, but he's really on a personal quest to uncover secrets about his own family's past. The story concerns an old woman named Abigail Maduro, who claimed on her deathbed to have averted a German takeover of the Danish West Indies during WWI.
