Article 35(A): SC delay the hearing on Kashmir's identity.

"The Supreme Court today adjourned its hearing on Article 35A to 27 August, in the wake of protests in Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra added that “it’s an issue to be decided by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court”. The Supreme Court was hearing a public interest litigation challenging the validity of the Article 35A. Some call Article 35A ""discriminatory"" against J&K women, because it disqualifies them from their state subject rights if they married non-permanent residents. However, in a landmark judgment in October 2002, the J&K High Court held that women married to non-permanent residents will not lose their rights. The children of such women however don't have succession rights. mean while the top court has adjourned the next hearing on 27 of august, to make a decision on the fate of special privileges of 1.25 crore people of jammu & kashmir.
