Eric Does A Thing

Chicago Cubs Baseball and Sexual Assault (EDAT 3)

Informações:

Sinopsis

This episode Eric and Caroline Allen head out to a Chicago Cubs baseball game right here at Wrigley Field. Wrigleyville in general can be a pretty scary place to hang out, with beer bottles, vomit, and insults being hurled through raucous crowds. But for all the excitement that comes with trying to get into the game, how much excitement do we get out of it? Caroline and Eric talk about their feelings towards baseball in general, the Cubs, and why it feels like such a long time since baseball has truly been "America's pastime." Of course you can't talk about professional sports without somehow slipping into a discussion about sexual assault and gender politics. We talk about the infamous Brock Turner Stanford rape case and conviction, women in the entertainment industry, and eventually Whitney Houston. We’d love to hear your comments, questions, and suggestions for things to do.
