Crime Stories With Nancy Grace

Britney Spears checked herself  into an out-of-state treatment facility following a DUI arrest in California. This after encouragement from her sons,Sean Preston and Jayden James.  Spears was taken into custody, handcuffed, booked and released. This is what's typically known as "cite and release"  Instead of being remainin in detention, the individual receives a written notice to appear in court on a specified date.
