God has made peace with us through Jesus Christ. We were His enemies because of our sin, but Jesus removed our guilt by being punished in our place. Because of this truth, we also are able to live in peace with each other. We also have peace during the problems of life. We also can have peace in our affections: we no longer need to love sin.
