October is National Disability Awareness Month. For nearly half a century, the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at OHSU’s Institute on Development and Disability has been improving the lives of people with disabilities throughout Oregon. One of its programs, the summer internship program, has not only helped educate students about people with disabilities, it has changed many students’ lives.
