Luta Livre is a Brazilian martial art created by Euclydes Hatem in Rio de Janeiro. This Brazilian version or wrestling was the rival discipline to what many are familiar with, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The practitioners of these two disciplines were NOT friends, and on many occasions, they clashed. Some of you who are historians of the UFC will recognize plenty of these names, but if not, you’ll enjoy the story regardless.
