In this episode I sit down with my mom Michelle Cárdenas to discuss identity. I have struggled with my own identity being Filipino and Latina and it's something my mom has struggled with growing up as a first-generation Latina. My mother discusses her struggles growing up as a first-generation Latina and the reason she refused to speak Spanish when she was younger.
