Michael Messenger and Alison Smith from the University of Leeds recently sat down with CHI to discuss their poster “Early cost effectiveness and value of information analysis to accelerate diagnostic test research and development - a case study in acute kidney injury” which won the Symposia Poster Award at the Molecular Medicine Tri Conference this year. They describe their process of developing new diagnostic tests which considers both clinical utility and economic cost effectiveness. They also speak about what drew them to the Tri Conference this year and the connections that they were able to make with potential partnering companies.
