Trish chats with the brilliant David Becker, founder of the Center for Election Innovation and Research. Becker, an election law expert talks a lot about the most recent election season, and his surprise at how long it went on for. He was a frequent flier on CBS News during and after the 2020 presidential election. He calls it one of the most secure elections and that it worked better than any other election. He says what's frustrating, is the continued lack of distrust in the results and the threats that still exist to poll workers. Becker talks about his path in creating CEIR and the innovative "ERIC," or Electronic Registration Information Center which many states use today to correct millions of out-of-date voter records and registering new voters.
