Sinopsis

Meet Jesal and Rochard. We are the Transatlantic Rebels. In Episode 4, our special M.I.A. series consisting of in-depth past reviews continues with her third album "Maya" from 2010 - otherwise known as ΛΛ Λ Y Λ. We will follow this in the coming weeks with a podcast for her fourth album "Matangi" and the (possibly final) album "AIM" which gets released on 9th September 2016. We talk about how this album foreshadowed this decade - a Mayan prophecy, if you will; assess the trajectory with which toddlers throw food at parents; that dreaded 'D word' pops up again; and finally realise that our headphones connect to the iPhone connects to the Google connected to the government. Jesal is from the UK, and Rochard is from America. We like to talk in depth about albums, films, TV shows and books. Rochard has a background in TV, acting, writing and many other areas of art creation. Jesal has a background in music: DJ, producer, artist, critic and other stuff. Enjoy!
