Alan Dean Foster is a writer of fantasy and science fiction, who has written several book series and more than 120 standalone novels. Alan’s works include Splinter of the Mind’s Eye, the first Star Wars Expanded Universe novel, which was originally written to be filmed as a low-budget sequel to Star Wars if the original film was not a success, the story for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and more than 20 standalone novels including the Humanx Commonwealth novels, Icerigger Trilogy, and Spellsinger series.
