Here are a few words from Ashley:In April of 2018, I was on vacation in Mexico for a girls/surfing trip. On the second wave of my second day I bailed when my board struck me in the head underwater. I didn’t know what happened at the time, I just know I struggled to get back onto my board and I was extremely lucky another surfer saw me and helped me out of the waves. I had no idea I had a concussion until I stepped onto the plane two days later to come back home one person and landed a completely different person. Looking back with what I know about concussions today, the signs were all there, I just wish I knew what I know now.Since then I’ve been climbing the uphill, rollercoaster battle of Post Concussion Syndrome.
