Ross Taylor speaks out over Kane Williamson's captaincy future

Ross Taylor has jumped to the defence of Kane Williamson, claiming the Black Caps captain still has plenty to offer the team.Following last month's Boxing Day test where New Zealand was crushed by Australia, former Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum suggested Williamson had lost his love of the role.McCullum questioned some of Williamson's tactics and said his successor as captain wasn't enjoying the role as much as prior years, describing him as a "reluctant leader".McCullum's comments sparked rumours that Williamson could look to step down from the captaincy role in the T20 format following this year's World Cup.However, Taylor didn't believe Williamson giving up the captaincy was necessary."I think he's got a lot to offer this team as a captain in years to come," Taylor said."Kane's been through a lot over the last little while.
