Why everybody should be paying attention to Birmingham? This week we are joined by Yiannis Maos, Co-Founder of Birmingham Tech Week. Both being Brummies we question why Birmingham isn’t on the map? It’s got the biggest population, most diverse, most startups, it doesn’t make sense. Birmingham Tech Week aims to break the perceptions and bring investment to the region … I LOVE IT!!! Yiannis is also the Co-Founder of Hyve. A brand advocacy software, after 10 years building his team at another company he decided to take the leap and create something new. Facing challenges all too familiar to most founders and entrepreneurs.

There’s always a debate around business coaches - are they worth it? I can only say that I have benefitted from coaching, it allows you to be accountable to somebody other than yourself.  We rarely take time out of our busy lives to think about our own individual performance and add structure where we need to. It’s really important that you find the right person, and I can say that #Gavin has probably been one of the most inspirational people in my life.

Dennis Crushel is the International Managing Director for Tubular Labs, he’s also worked with Youtube and Google and has a fantastic knowledge of Branded Content In 2018 more than 18 years of video was uploaded every single day, Tubular helps makes sense of all the numbers and statistics.  It’s not just about how many people are looking, it’s about where their from and how long they are watching for.It was a pleasure sitting down with Dennis and getting to understand the effects of the content we create on the real world.
