    Dr. Erica Henry is a North Carolina State University researcher studying rare butterflies across the United States. All the way from the northwest Washington state to now her work moving her to the southeast of Miami and the Florida Keys Dr. Henry is now focused on 2 rare butterflies that are endemic to the Pine Rocklands, the Bartram's Scrub Hairstreak and Florida Leafwing.  The Pine Rocklands are a native ecosystem of South Florida that has been reduced to 2% of its original range and it is also the focus of the second issue of our magazine.
