This week we read about Jesus healing a man who was born blind. The Bible has a lot to say about suffering, and this man’s encounter with Jesus has much to teach us. Just as the prophet Isaiah foretold, this sign reveals Jesus as Messiah, who would open the eyes of the blind. Not only did he receive physical sight, the man’s spiritual eyes of faith were opened when Jesus lit up his world and transformed his life.   In this podcast, Melanie reminds us that Jesus has called us out of darkness into light. Jesus feeding the multitude is such a familiar story that it’s easy for us to miss the reason John recorded these true accounts in his gospel.
