Strengthen Your Faith To live by divine faith, you must add the things of divinity to it. You can never be satisfied with the faith you have. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue [character or value]; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance [divine self-control] (II Peter 1:5,6).

Enemy of Faith: Fear We must know our enemies in order to defend ourselves against them. The Bible warns about a fear that can cripple our faith and thwart our Christian growth. Fear, a faith killer It isn’t difficult to understand how fear could be a faith killer. Those who have extreme fear about anything will naturally focus on themselves and the problems they are facing, not on God and His willingness to help them in their time of need.

In looking up in the meaning of the word Faith in the dictionary the first entry that I found was: "strong or unshakeable belief in something, especially without proof or evidence". I want to talk to you today about unshakeable faith. When God puts a promise in your heart you have to come to the place where you believe it's going to happen so strongly, nothing can talk you out of it.

We can be touched by nothing except through His cross. IS.60: 1Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen on you. 2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. Broken Believers by believing a lie. Come to the light of God's Word. Let it shine on your path. Bulldog Faith Bites Down and Won’t Let Go “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.” –Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) That is a picture of you as a believer! You have to bite down on the Word of God—who you are, what you have and what you can do. The devil will try to take it from you, but don’t give up, don’t quit. Be a bulldog where the Word of God is concerned.

I can't tell you how many times I've tried to pray through for things and have grown weary after only an hour or two. Sometimes after only 10 minutes! If I was with the disciples in the Garden on Holy Thursday I would have been the first to get out my sleeping bag even after Jesus had asked to hold Him up in prayer. As I've said at the beginning; Bulldog faith ain't pretty and it ain't easy. But if you are willing to put aside your comfort, to trust that He will reward those that seek Him, then I believe that the little faith that you and I have will grow as we hold on tight. What exactly is a stronghold? A stronghold is an incorrect thinking pattern that has molded itself into our way of thinking. These strongholds have the capability to affect our feelings, how we respond to various situations in life, and they play a large role in our spiritual freedom. A person who has a demon behind their stronghold(s) may find it nearly impossible to tear them down and keep down. This is because the demon will be working hard at rebuilding and holding those strongholds in place. 2 Corinthians 10:4, "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

Touched by God And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and valiant men went with him, whose hearts God had touched. —1 Samuel 10:26 What does it mean to have your heart touched by God? It means that God is now at the center of your will and your being. It means that you have surrendered your life in totality unto Him. How does God touch your heart? He does so by the gentle influence of His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads us to the Word of God, and through the Scriptures, God touches our hearts. Once the Holy Spirit begins to illumine your mind, it is amazing how glorious and exciting and wonderful the Bible becomes. When God touches your heart, bitterness, anxiety and fears have to go. They can't stay in a heart that has been touched by God. Habits and vices that were destroying your life fall away. Things you used to cherish, you now despise. Things you used to despise, you now cherish.

Why Is The Average Christian Not Filled with the Holy Spirit? The average Christian continues to live in disobedience to God and is not filled with the Spirit for two reasons: A lack of knowledge Unbelief From the moment of your spiritual birth, you have the power to go on growing toward maturity in Christ. And yet, the average person, not understanding how to live by faith, lives on a spiritual roller coaster, rising and falling from one emotional experience to another. In Romans 7, Paul describes the predicament of the worldly, carnal Christian, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul describes a worldly, carnal believer as one who acts like a non Christian. Experiencing the Outpouring of the Spirit God promised in Joel 2:28-29 that in the last days He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and the young people will prophesy, the old ones will have dreams, and the young men will see visions! How can we receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? We are definitely in the last days, and we need this. Power is defined as 1) the ability to act effectively and 2) the capacity to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. Because the power of the Holy Spirit is literally the power of God, the ability to act and influence is infinite, unlimited, and eternal. In this way, the power of the Holy Spirit is different from any other kind of power. Learning how to be filled (controlled and empowered) by the Holy Spirit by faith can be the most important discovery of your Christian life. Consider carefully the very last words which our Lord spoke as He met with His disciples on the Mount of Olives only moments before He ascended into heaven. Jesus had commissioned His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel and to make disciples of all nations.’ But He had told them not to leave Jerusalem until they were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

What if I told you that it wasn’t too late? That God could redeem the time you’ve lost and surpass your expectations with the time you have left?. “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? - Jeremiah 32:27 God can make a way in any situation; he can defy logic and time. I’ve seen it in my own life, in the lives of my friends, and all throughout scripture. I’ve seen Him heal cancer and restore life, open a womb after a decade of infertility, and completely restore broken relationships. I’ve read scriptures of Him fulfilling the promise of a son to a 100-year-old man, parting seas, closing the mouths of lions, and preserving men’s lives while they were in a furnace! This is the God we serve! “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm[— my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, Joel 2:25-26

Life often takes us through the weary place and the parched wilderness on this journey through life, where only God can provide the comfort and sustenance we desperately need. He alone is our present help in time of trouble, and His compassion and mercy towards us is new every morning. How precious that as His children, we can legitimately cry out: "O God, You are MY God.". PS. 63: When I stray from His side, I must quickly return and seek Him with my whole heart. I must covet His favour with my entire being for He is the Lord and there is no other. He upholds the world by the might of His power yet has become the Comforter of my soul. He has rescued me from the miry clay and set my feet upon the solid Rock. He has filled the hungry with good things.. but the rich have been sent empty away.

Ephesians 6:12.
