It was at these gatherings that Ricardo's interest was sparked for the art of DJing. Thanks to some close friends he began to develop his mixing skills and mastering the Technics 1200. Angelo Scalici’s career began as an open format DJ in 2005, performing in various night clubs through-out the Tri-State Area, originating from New York City. Scalici’s interest for music was realized with his production of “mashups” and remixes that were made available via niche sites. Little did he know his interest for “House” music, would lead him in becoming what he is today. Attending various nightclubsand venues inspired Angelo in applying certain concepts to his style. Danny got his start at the age of 15 in 1998 promoting local teen night parties and djing around Staten Island. He played at venus such as Eclipse, Atlantis and Cylo. Ambition was strong and kept him wanting more so he started working for a company called No-ID which at the time was hosting various events at some of NYC's legendary venus such as Soundfactory, Exit, Limelight and the Tunnel. He continued promoting and paying his dues after a few years he started promoting and djing events at Pacha NYC in the Bassment, Deko and Club Abyss, NJ. The hard work was beginning to pay off and was asked to come and dj/ host the Mirf room at NYC's District36. Since the closing of D36 he has been focusing his time and energy in the studio and will be starting a new residency in April 2013 with his new team Wolfpack. Starting as a local New Jersey/ New York DJ in 2005, he progressively challenged himself with production and developed what soon became a signature sound, funked up techno influenced by his Colombian roots. This week we welcome a duo that has been part of the EDM world for over a decade and continues blessing the decks with their energy filled percussive mixes. Midnight Society is a power team that will be sure to get you dancing and groovin from start to finish. They have traveled the world from Europe to South America and have graced dancefloors at some of the most sought out venues throughout Brazil and Amsterdam. Hosting a yearly Drum Nation party in South Beach during the WMC to a weekly Friday night residency at DTox in NYC this team is no stranger to the midnight club society. They have played for massive crowds in Brazil of over 3000 party goers during a yearly festival in Rio De Janeiro, The Week International. Not only are they busy traveling but they also own and run a very notable independent digital record label titled SoundGroove Records. I personally had the honor of being signed to their growing label and am proud to be a part of the team.
