Today I have for you’re a heavily remastered episode from This is your FBI titled Return of the Mob. This particular episode was a doozy. I had to really apply some key spectral and voice noise reduction tools on this one. Let me show you how it sounded without the audio – as an example, now listen to after it’s mastered. One of the toughest aspects was getting rid of these weird static sounds that appeared in random parts of the episode, mainly though in the middle. Take a listen to it without the remastering: and now with it….it’s nuts. But it took a lot of time – the main reason why only one episode today. But I wanted to really push the limits here on what can be done to the audio. That and lifting the clarity of the audio a little so as properly sound out as much of the words as possible. Either way, definitely a challenge, and a great one. I think all in all I applied six

Today I’ve done something a little different, I’ve stripped out Reverb that should be there, bumps and thuds in the audio where possible, and add a new tool to get rid of the static noise.I think it did a really good job of cutting out that noise actually, but you can be the judge.
