Welcome you lovelies to your weekly dose of tales. I’m almost back to full strength from being ill off and on for the past month. And my work colleagues and friends have been experiencing this same thing – the cold and flu season is upon us in Australia, and it does not hold back. Now, I won’t keep you waiting, and I won’t rune the stories with a synopsis, but I will say this, I’m going to try something different, and if you have any feedback, I welcome it. I thought I’d add a layer of quite ambience of “rain” in the background audio, let me know what you think. Love it? Hate it? A man wishes for a Calf and is given a child. Instead of joy, he’s struck with the burden of looking after another life, in which he can barely look after his own. He denies the young boy, a gift from the gods so it seems, turned away...but the boy’s love for the man is strong, strong enough to put him on a quest, to be accepted. Amidst their ridiculous argument though…a murder is brought to their door step…no blood…a letter opener as a weapon…and a foul murder. A women has been stabbed, at New Yorks fanciest Men’s Club. A Goat herder has three daughters, three daughters he simply does not deserve. Cruel, obnoxious, and feebleminded this man is, to beat and harass his daughters whenever a goat should stray from its herd. He cares for the goats more than he does his flesh and blood, and would sooner sacrifice his daughters over the herd that he leads. One day though, two daughters encounter a very unique being, one that offers them a way out…an offer….but they refuse…the third and youngest of the three…well…her life takes quite a different path. A Prince has a stupid brother, so stupid that he can spend years observing a task and not learn how to do it. The Prince though, loves his brother, but most certainly knows his weakness and looks for other avenues to bring success to him. Along this path though our Prince is corrupted, by desire…desire of dark magic…magicks unknown to him that trap him…and put him on a path to near death…but also…adventure. Nero Wolfe is by no means a polite man, but he can detect when a wolf enters his den. $1000 to drop a client…by the name of Dorothy Spencer, but the thing is, Nero doesn’t have a client with that name. And the man who hired him to do “nothing” is odd…smells odd in fact….so very odd indeed. And a list of actors claim to love a woman, and that very same women…denies their existence…well, their love to be exact. Two actors, and a boxer are entangled in this rigmarole affair, and now Wolfe and Archie are to.
