Ho Ho Ho. Merry Christmas. In one of the most unique Christmas seasons most of us hav e experienced, we want to be ready. Not just with the tree, the lights and the presents. We want to ready our hearts to celebrate the way Jesus intended. Pastor Jerry starts a new series that will help prepare your heart for the season.

“Thanksgiving” is not meant to simply be a holiday where we eat, nap, wakeup and repeat. Thanksgiving is meant to be a lifestyle. It unlocks limitless benefits and possibilities for our lives. The old adage says, ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.’ When life brings bad news, God says he can work it out for your good. The keys to endure, trust God and overcome is found in Jesus. God forgives our sins and heals our sicknesses. In Mark 2, Jesus demonstrates this in a memorable encounter with a paralytic man. Victory belongs to the Lord. No matter your circumstances, situation, diagnosis or difficulty, you can rest assured that God sees you and is with you. To overcome the devil, God gives us a promise of power in Revelations 12:11. Your victory is on it’s way.

How do you respond when Jesus doesn’t answer right away? This is a question we all will face someday. While in life’s waiting room, God tells us to trust Him, pray with expectation and lean on scripture. Your miracle is just around the corner, here’s what to do until you get there.

God is a healing God. When believe that God is a healer, He can heal, He wants to heal and that He will heal, it changes our perspective on sickness, emotional strain and disease. God is right on time and today’s message is a divine appointment with the healing power of God.

God is good. He is working everything together for our good. Have you ever enjoyed taking a test? Most of us would answer no. But, the reality is that life is filled with tests, today more than ever. Some tests are God’s tests, given for preparation, not punishment. His tests allow difficult circumstances, revealing what’s in our hearts so that He can lovingly correct us and set us up to have success. When life seems tough, God is working on our behalf. The Bible has a lot to say, let’s learn together.

Health checkups are important. They can help you be proactive in sustaining your wellbeing and alert you if something is off. Heart checkups are just as, if not more, important. With the state of the world’s culture, there has never been a better time to check our emotional and spiritual hearts for health. If we can get our hearts fixed, we can get our lives fixed. God’s word is the toolbox we need to remedy any ailment. This message with Pastor Jerry is like a spiritual doctors visit. Smile, you’re getting better already.

What fear owns you today? Fear can limit you and hold you back from your destiny. But, it doesn’t need to be that way. God wants to help us defeat fear. He will help you to shut it out by meditating on the truth and focusing on who God created you to be. His power is in you. His love is for you. His thoughts can become your thoughts. In the end, when God is on your side, you will win. Do not be afraid, God is with you.

You were created to know God and follow Jesus. If you are following Him, you are going to learn you are loved and how to love others. Love gives, covers, sacrifices and always brings life. We all need to receive the words of this world-changing message so we can help reach into a hurting world with the healing power of God’s selfless, unconditional and healing love.

When you say yes to follow Jesus, everything changes. Your life has more meaning, your future has more hope. But, the journey isn’t meant to be just you and Jesus. God sets every Christian into a community of believers to do life with, to grow with and to learn with. This week we continue the series delving into our mission and what it looks like to be a part of an incredible, life-giving community by building a great church.

When God is first, life is at its best. This doesn’t just mean saying God is first. It means letting Him lead. Jesus wants to lead your life, meaning we need to follow Him. We need to surrender to Him. When our will confronts God’s will, we need to choose His way. Ask yourself, “are you surrendered? Are you teachable?” How you answer those questions will determine your future.
