Cleaning For You is kicking off its annual “Toilet Bowl” fundraiser. Bob Penkhus is hosting a “Penkhus Driving Skills” event August 12th, 2017. They have partnered with MasterDrive to provide Colorado Springs with a free test drive experience. This course will allow any licensed person to drive through many different obstacles and experience distracted driving in a safe and controlled environment. This event is the perfect refresher for some or even better for soon-to-be drivers. There will be tons of music, food, and fun to experience as well!

Police Officer Larry Darnall's Fight for Life -Officer Darnall of the UCCS Police Department is fighting Pancreatic Cancer which has metastasized to the lymph nodes and liver. He is in need of financial assistance in order to receive chemo treatments. Some of you may know Larry as the partner of Police Officer Garrett Swasey, who was killed in the line of duty, Nov 2015 at the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs. Girls on the Run is a 501c3 organization that inspires girls 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls meet in small teams after school once or twice per week and learn various lessons about friendship, gratitude, making choices, etc all while training for a 5K run. Fieldhouse Brewing Company and Jon Eddy Productions are proud to be working together to release a limited edition beer to benefit Empty Stocking Fund for the 2017-2018 campaign. This specialty beer will initially be available only at the 719 Day Brewfest on July 19th at Weidner Field, home of Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
