Believe us when we tell you, this is one of the most hilarious podcasts we have ever recorded. Devil Bob joins us on Vortex Radio this week and it gets pretty crazy! A former DJ at the Pink Pony, motorcycle enthusiast, metal shop foreman for The Walking Dead AND former Vortex bartender/bouncer, Bob has seen and done it all in Atlanta. We have Marshall Davis on Vortex Radio this week! He's Michael's oldest Atlanta friend and showed Michael all around the city when the future Vortex co-owner first moved out here. When you look at the two of them, you may think they're related because of their matching long gray beards and how much s*** they give each other. Marshall is also a partner in the popular Oakhurst neighborhood bar, Steinbeck's Ale House. Listen in for some ridiculous stories about the old days of Atlanta way before Ponce City Market or the Beltine Trail were even a thought.  

We have the Fox Bros., Jonathan and Justin, on the podcast this week. You've probably been to their incredible Atlanta restaurant just outside of Little 5 Points, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, but have you heard their story? Also, did you know that they're identical twins? They give us the rundown on how they got started in Atlanta with their unique take on Texas and Southern style barbeque. The 1st son of the Internet, Maximus Thor, and his dad, Banjo, join us on Vortex Radio this week. Atlanta local and YouTube celebrity, Max has accomplished a lot for only being ten years old; 70 videos, 50,000 subscribers and a recent mention as Creative Loafing's "20 People to Watch." Before you listen to the podcast, you should probably head over to his YouTube channel titled "Maximus Thor" and educate yourself on what Max is all about.

Okay, so maybe we don't have the Swedish Bikini Team ON the podcast, but we do have the guy that came up with the brilliant idea! We have advertising genius, Patrick Scullin, on the podcast this week. He's the brains behind that hilarious Old Milwaukee Commercial with the Swedish Bikini Team from the 90's. He is also responsible for one of the only consistently run Vortex advertisements. You'll be an advertising pro after listening to this one! 

Hollis Gillespie is a comedian, an award-winning humor writer, novelist, travel columnist, NPR commentator, travel expert for NBC’s Today Show, and guest on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She was also at The Vortex in the beginning sipping on cocktails and jotting down stories at the bar. There are some tasty bits of Vortex History in this one. Also, Michael gets DRUNK!

This week on Vortex Radio, we are joined by artist, J Doyle Rogers. Known for making large-scale sculptures out of stainless steel, he currently has work exhibited all around Georgia. We also talk about the first people to take down the Super-Stack Challenge (aka Quadruple Coronary Bypass Burger) in under 20 minutes! There's some tasty junk food for your earholes in this one. 

Navy Ogbuokiri, AKA pro wrestler The Dark Mon, joins us on our second official live episode. His relation to The Vortex is twofold. He was a part of a fake fight on The Vortex's reality TV sizzle reel and he was a competitor in the Super Stack Challenge competition recently. Although he wasn't able to take down the new monster Quadruple Coronary Bypass Burger, he came really close. Oh also, he might pick Vortex Baby Colin up in the air towards the end of the podcast... Our special guest this week is Paolo Dalla Zorza, owner of Paolo's Gelato. He joins us on the podcast with his girlfriend/marketing manager and interpreter, Elizabeth Hall. Good thing she came along because Paolo's accent is ridiculous. Michael spends the podcast eating at least a gallon of gelato, and co-host Andrew Markle tries gelato for the first time ever while being teased mercilessly by Paolo.
