NZ’s pastures face challenges from climate change, the need to improve environmental outcomes, and changing consumer wants. The New Zealand Grassland Association has outlined a way forward for the $30+ billion pastoral industry through a green paper, which follows on from the 2021 Resilient Pastures Symposium. The recently signed European Union-New Zealand trade deal received a lot of media attention and there’s some confusion as to why the red meat sector is disappointed.
