The film (based on true events) follows Ron Stallworth, the first Black cop on the force in Colorado Springs. During his first assignment, he decides to try and infiltrate the local KKK chapter. He successfully does so over the phone and with the help of his fellow white officer Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver).
