When's My Time? - Development, Inspiration And Motivation With Ozzy Eyre

Informações:

Sinopsis

On the evening of Thursday, 12th August 2010, Ozzy Eyre turned to his wife, Carole, and asked the question Whens my time? He asked Whens my time to do all the things I always promised myself Id do? Whens my time to live the life Im supposed to live? Whens my time to become the person Im supposed to be? You see, up to that point, hed allowed fear to keep him in a job he hated for 12 years and, after that, in a job hed merely tolerated for a further 20 years. During that time, hed missed out on his boys growing up and pretty much everything else hed always promised himself hed do. And, on that August night, he realised hed had enough! With Caroles agreement and support, he decided that same evening that things were going to change that he would change. And, although neither he nor Carole knew it at the time, that was when the first seeds of a project that was to become Whens My Time were sown. In the years since then, things havent always gone smoothly Ozzy made mistakes along the way, sometimes big ones. But every mistake he made taught him new and valuable lessons and even when things went wrong, every day since he left the corporate world has been way more fulfilling than any day while he was in it. So, what about you? How does Whens My Time affect you? Well... - If youve ever felt there has to be more to life than this, Whens My Time is for you. - If you feel trapped in a job you hate, or a job you merely tolerate, Whens My Time is for you. - If you love your job, but still feel there is so much more you wish to accomplish, Whens My Time is for you. - Whens My Time is for you if youre a dreamer. - Whens My Time is for you if you have yet to find your purpose. - Whens My Time is for you if youve found your purpose but have not yet struck out on your path to chasing it down. In short, Whens My Time is all about proving to you that its never too late to see the changes in life you want to see and motivating you to set about making those changes happen. It's time to start living your life on purpose - and you can do that right here, right now! Be sure to subscribe, so you never miss another episode! What links the first anniversary of the UK’s decision to leave the EU, the summer solstice, Ordnance Survey maps, and French author Andre Gide? • WMT181 – The antidote to everything

    20/06/2017 Duración: 22min

It seems I’ve spent an awful lot of time of late having to mention terror attacks and other tragedies – but we must not lose sight of the fact there has never been a better time in history to be alive (I may talk about that further in another episode). BTW, this episode contains interruptions (one of which is pretty ...

  • WMT180 – Understand More, Condemn Less

    16/06/2017 Duración: 19min

Over the last week, one little corner of the internet that I visit occasionally went into meltdown over a video posted by a young man who was clearly in need of help. But instead of trying to understand and help, some folks were rushing to condemn. Look – I’m not taking a ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude, nor am I going to fall ...

  • WMT179 – Remember to notice the good stuff

    13/06/2017 Duración: 19min

Today’s episode finds me in a grateful frame of mind. It’s easy, when you go it alone, to feel that every challenge you meet is somehow aimed at you personally to try and frustrate you in your progress. Let me tell you, it isn’t! To my mind, the universe has far more important things to be getting on with (like ...

    08/06/2017 Duración: 11min

Another walk with Jack and today’s episode is a follow-up to yesterday’s after I received an email asking why I’d said social media was such a bad place when I use Facebook and YouTube all the time. Well, that’s not exactly what I said but thanks for the opportunity to clarify! I also give a shout out to another podcast ...

  • WMT176 – Spring fades, an election looms, and understanding evaporates…

    07/06/2017 Duración: 23min

Following feedback from the last episode, I decided once again to forsake the studio and record while out with Jack. This time you find us at the allotment and I’m in a reflective frame of mind, thinking about the passing of the seasons – along with much else. I also promise you a link to an excellent podcast from an ...

  • WMT172 – You did great – accept it!

    22/05/2017 Duración: 09min

It’s a funny thing – most of us crave attention, approval, significance. But when we get paid a compliment, it can, for some of us at least, feel uncomfortable. Usually, I would try to deflect the kind words someone offered, but not anymore… …and I changed for the best of reasons. While we’re on the subject of compliments, I’d like ...

  • WMT171 – Mandy’s email… and other things

    18/05/2017 Duración: 19min

Earlier this week, I was flattered to receive an email from a young woman seeking some advice. ‘Mandy’ is facing a difficult career choice right now (when was there ever an easy career choice?) and my guess is we’ve all been faced with making similar decisions in our lives. I figured the points raised in her email might apply to ...

  • WMT168 – Don’t leave it – it may be later than you think

    02/05/2017 Duración: 11min

Every now and then, life throws you a reminder that you’re here for a very short time. If you’re lucky, that reminder is in the form of news about someone else and not you. Just because it’s about someone else, though, doesn’t mean you should ignore it, or not be affected by it. I had such a reminder this past ...

  • WMT167 – Offer value, but remember to value your offer

    28/04/2017 Duración: 22min

When I first started out on my own, I was focusing on the wrong thing. I wasn’t focusing on offering value. Then, when I learned to offer value, I was still missing something every bit as important… …and I’m guessing I’m not alone in that.   Share this Post Podcast: Play in new window | Download | Embed Subscribe: iTunes ...

In a trip I took last week, I found many people in the right jobs and, in today’s episode, I talk about two of them. If you’re in the right job, ...
