When first pursuing a new language, or studying a new culture, it's easy to make friends from the culture solely based on your interest in their country. But is that friend really a good friend? It can be important to be aware of individuals that are happy to be ambassadors for their country, but may not actually be, by definition, a friend. Good thing to look out for! THANKS FOR WATCHING

Enjoyed a month of Winter Vacation celebrating Christmas, traveling to Boston, and celebrating New Years in New York City! Some of the best days of the trip were when I was alone. To anyone considering living with a host family while living abroad in Japan (or any country), I hope that this video will help encourage you to try it.
