ECHO Global Missions Conference may be over, but the mission continues.  Our missionaries have moved on to their next assignments, and now we're left with a question that lingers: What's my Holy Discontent? When we recognize that "The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise... He is patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants everyone to repent." (2 Peter 3:9) We can't help but respond with Holy Discontent. God's patience is purposeful. It's a divine pause giving us time to join Him in His mission of redemption. So, what does that look like for us? Maybe it means taking a prayer card, or a few, and committing to pray faithfully for our missionaries. Maybe it's setting up your recurring giving to follow through on the monthly pledge you made during ECHO. Or maybe God is stirring something deeply personal, a new step of faith in your home, your community, your nation, or even to the nations.  Whatever it is, let's move together from inspiration to action. What if you knew exactly what God wanted? Would it change anything about how you spent your days and nights? Would you reorient your life around it? Would you have desire to see God to get what He desires? According to second Peter chapter three verse nine, God wants everyone to repent and be saved and He wants no one to be destroyed. To be entirely honest it is somewhat embarrassing to ask how much of my own life is oriented around that same desire.  How much of my own time, talent and treasure have I leveraged to reach “One More” for Christ? In case you aren’t aware, as a church we have set out on two year discipleship journey to try and reach as many “One Mores” as possible…and we’re just getting started! This week we kick off our Pre-ECHO Global Missions Conference and I can’t wait to see what Jesus has to say to us as we simply say yes to Him! This week we’re diving into the disciplines of being an intentional disciple-maker. Just like Paul discipled Timothy, he connected with him both personally and culturally, using the examples of a soldier, an athlete, and a farmer. We are called to disciple others, no matter their background or past mistakes, because of the promise of victory, the vision of winning, and the hope of a harvest. Disciple-making is always worthwhile when our goal is to glorify God, win people to Christ, and one day live eternally with Him. Remember: no past experience is beyond redemption. The church grows when YOU share your story!

Discipleship isn't just about learning-it's about living. Jesus invites us to a life of surrender, sacrifice, and steadfast following. To make disciples, we must first be disciples, and how do we do that? By following the template Jesus laid out in Matthew 16:24. This week we will unpack the not so secret sauce to making disciples!
