  • Q&A on Predestination and Rewards (2 Corinthians 5:9-10)

    07/10/2018 Duración: 51min

God has chosen those whom He would for salvation and He has divinely predestined them to do good works. Men will receive rewards for those good works but not for works they should have done but did not. Men will also be held accountable although not for punishment sake as the punishment for sin was taken by Christ at the cross. Though God has predestined the good works, because of His sovereignty, He can and does hold men responsible for their good works. Divine sovereignty in no way negates human responsibility. Human responsibility exists inside of the context of divine sovereignty. You can download the notes for this lesson here: PPT |PDF

    11/02/2018 Duración: 35min

What does Paul mean in 1 Timothy 4:10 that Jesus is the “Savior of all men?” What is Covenant Theology? How do Covenant Theologians handle Romans 9-11? How should we understand the concept of “Messianic Jew?” Are the promises of an earthly kingdom conditional? 1 Chronicles 29:29 mentions the “Chronicles of Nathan” and the “Chronicles of Gad.” Do we have these books? Can you explain the paradoxes of Galatians 2:20? Why do some Christians speak as if their salvation depends on their own efforts at persevering? Is this a gospel issue?

  • Reformation Q&A

    05/11/2017 Duración: 44min

Questions regarding the Reformation answered by the elders of Kootenai Church--Jim Osman, Dave Rich, Jess Whetsel, and Cornel Rasor. Some of the questions asked in no particular order: Are Christians other than elders allowed to baptize other believers? In what context should baptisms be performed? What is the Catholic belief of "Patron Saints"? What happens to leftover Communion? How do you answer the charge that Protestants have their own bloody history to account for? How does Rome deal with their bloody history in their persecution of Protestants? What about the charge that Christians participated in the crusades? Today Roman Catholics would not consider “anathema” to be anything more than excommunication but not condemnation. Why do you make the claim that it is condemnation? Is anyone attending the Catholic Church going to Heaven? What is biblical baptism vs. covenantal baptism?
