Ok, yes, it's another tough listen because...well, we need to get Ev a decent microphone for his Skyping. Anyone? This episode shouldn't be published, and so it is the 2016 Not Two Bright Secret Christmas Episode... which has nothing at all to do with Christmas, other than being released on Christmas Day. Recorded in late October at James' place, after he had already been drinking at an informal work function thingy, James is too far gone... and Ev is Ev. This is for the "fans" (or anyone who dares listen, for whatever strange reason). Thanks for still subscribing to us, because there's no other way anyone will come across this episode...or should even listen to this episode. Here it is. The one you wanted. The one you've been, umm, waiting for... ...errr... after 6 months, James and Ev finally get to do it again. This time they catch up and drink beers at Ev's new home, Saccharomyces Beer Cafe in South Bank, Brisbane, Queensland. There's also some special guest appearances by Sacc Bar staff, a guy named Nick, and another guy named John... oh, and some girl named Jenn, plus more! The beers were plenty and the diversions in conversation were abundant. Ok, yes, so it's a mess, as always, but at least the sound quality is decent once again (thanks to the lack of Skype). James escaped Bright and spent a few nights around his former home of Melbourne, which included a Sunday night at Temple Brewing and The Alehouse Project in East Brunswick for the launch of Froth Magazine Issue 5. At the end of a long good night, James turned on the mics to chat with (internet famous alt-model) Matt Hoffman from Bad Shepherd Brewery, as well as Gem, Katie and Rob.  It's an random, Ev-less, Not Two Bright. After a 12 hour day, and possibly too many beers at the brilliant Thirsty Crow brewery, James and Ev spend a late night in a hotel room unfortunately talking into microphones and sharing the love of the 2nd annual Gears & Beers festival in Wagga Wagga. A.K.A Unlistenable A.K.A N2B goes to The Show Part 1 This is beginning and end part of an episode we recorded at the Royal Melbourne Show, which suffers from terrible recording quality. (The previous episode - Episode 16a: Prof Talks - was the middle section.) You may only want to listen to this episode if you are really really REALLY desperate to fill half an hour, because the recording quality is so poor. It is very difficult to listen to. Yes yes, once again, many many apologies for the awful sound levels, which were absolutely stuffed due to a combination of being mobile and not using headphones, plus also being extremely exhausted. But hey, it's a silly podcast and it's free. It's been a long time between episodes, so thanks for sticking around. This episode was recorded back at the end of July and was somewhat heartbreaking because a quality hour of the conversation wasn't actually recorded... someone forgot to unpause the recorder!  Oh well. EV IS AT GABS! Well...Ev was at GABS when we recorded this. Yes, we traveled to the big smoke of Melbourne for Good Beer Week, the premier week on Australia's beer calendar, which included 3 days of pouring our high country beers at the 2015 Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) festival. This random mess of a quick silly fun beer-soaked episode was recorded after the 2nd session (Friday night) of GABS, around midnight, as everyone departed the event following the final bell.
