Good lord, can't anyone make a decent f#%king game, lately? I know the pandemic was bad, y'all, but seriously... what the frick? Anyway... Redfall reveals more bad news, Suicide Squad delayed a emeffin' YEAR... and in shocking, North Dakota is apprently the the tech hub of the United States. Who knew?! Edie and Nick wrap the week's news.

So much bad news coming this week. First, we have Studio Wildcard doing everything it can to completely piss off fans, and then we have Monster Energy drink suing indy devs because they think they own the word "Monster."

  The title is a little misleading... we won't be talking about fart jokes the WHOLE time. We also have the roundup of news, including Naughty Dog's apology for the Last of Us Part 1's PC port, the return of an OG Dragon Age dev to the team, and the unofficial final curtain for E3.

Yaaaaa... that happened.

If you didn't know any better, you might think there's trouble at Square Enix. In one week they close.... uh, make that "absorb"... the Forspoken studio and boot their CEO. Strange things are afoot at the Circle S.

This week, do you say "It's a live service game" without saying "live service"? Well Rocksteady Games showed us how, and the gaming world HATES it. Microsoft attempts to blunt the whole "CoD monopoly" holding up their Activision buyout in the most cynical way possible. And E3 is not dead; it just smells that way.

The epic saga of Wizards of the Coast's complete bumbling of their brand was like an epic screenplay, with the little guy winning. But is this win really the end of the battle? No. Absolutely not.

Nearly every day last week we've had new developments in the DND OGL firestorm. The latest moves put Wizards of the Coast on the back foot, but the damage is done. We discuss whether it can be repaired as well as why this probably isn't a win for a community but a tactical retreat for WotC.

Lots of news: First and foremost, Wizards of the Coast learned very quickly that games can be made (and broken) by consumers, Chinese government will soon have a controlling interest in many game studios, and Skull & Bones once again fails to make it's scheduled landing, leaving us to wonder if this boat will ever get to shore.

It's slow days for news, but that's when all the crazy stuff bubbles to the surface. Another studio gets bought up by another international conglomerate, January's free Amazon Prime games, Steam Awards 2022, and the strange tale of Microsoft losing its ever-lovin' mind in a court filing.

Yes, we're hungover... Well... Edie is. But we have two weeks of news to catch up on. Epic hit with a massive judgement, gamers sue over the Microsoft-Activision acquisition, and C-suite departures from Activision. Yes, there's more than Activision in the news, but when there's a shitshow, lean in.

It's been a really, REALLY weird week. Elon Musk loses his mind, launches a new Twitter service, and it (predictably) goes off the freakin' rails. Then we find out this Control title is not a spin-off but a sequel. Then Ubisoft says Prince of Persia isn't cancelled, but they refund all the preorders. We're livin' in CRAZY TOWN!

There's rumors afoot and they all come down to The Game Awards in December. Also, check your Destiny 2 version; you may be playing "the wrong one."

Yes, V Rising is free to play this weekend and we have another chapter in the Bayonetta 3 Shitshow... do we need a new banner? Also, Games with Gold and PSPlus free games for November, and Modern Warfare 2 proves why disks are dead.

We knew there seemed to be more to the story of Bayonetta 3 and VO actress Hellena Taylor, and there very much was.
