Theme: Prepare for Christmas Main Points: Some People read Paul’s words about the presence of sin in a negative sense. We also need to see his summons to the presence of salvation The Key to preparation for God’s salvation is to clothe ourselves with Christ

Theme: Thanksgiving Main Points: Gratitude should be the dominant theme in our lives. We should be thankful even when things are not going our way. Gratitude is an acknowledgement of our dependence on God.

Theme: Christ the King Main Points: Jesus gave his life for the criminals crucified with him. Jesus Forgave his enemies Jesus made a promise to be in paradise with the thief.

Theme: Life Beyond Death Scripture: Luke 20:27-38 Main Points: Jesus met the Sadducees where they were. Jesus answered an uncertainty about marriage Jesus answered the question of life beyond death.

Main Points: Zaccheaus’ wealth did not satisfy his deepest needs. Many were unhappy that Jesus went home with a sinner like Zaccheaus A complete transformation took place in Zaccheaus’ life.

Theme: Working for God’s Kingdom : Some refused to do their share of the work. Some were bringing a negative spirit into the fellowship. The best argument for not being idle or a busybody is that we have a world to save for Christ.

Theme: Persistence : The Secret to successful living is “Don’t Give Up.” Faith is trusting God, whatever your circumstances Many are defeated because they give up too soon.

Theme: Faith What is this faith that has so much power. A Changed attitude is an important part of authentic faith. A positive attitude comes from knowing that God is behind the universe.

Theme: Being sensitive to the poor and needy Main Points: The rich man’s sin was that he didn’t notice. God noticed Lazarus’ plight. God also noticed the rich man who refused to notice the poor man.

Theme: Working for the Kingdom Main Points: A Strong Spiritual life takes work. Anything worth having requires work. Christ loves us whoever we may be and whatever we have done, but Christ expects us not to stand still.

Theme: Legacy Main Points: Successful Living begins with a plan What kind of legacy do you hope to leave to those you love and to the world?

Theme: Jesus can lift the burden from our shoulders Main Points: This bent woman didn’t allow her physical condition keep her from worshipping God. Some may think her condition was caused an emotional or spiritual problem. Jesus can heal those who are bowed down, whatever the reason for their condition. The Synagogue leader criticized Jesus for healing this woman on the Sabbath Many have been hurt by the legalism and condemnation of the church, but the church should always be a place where people can come for healing and acceptance

Theme: Stewardship of Material possessions Main Points: The tragedy of the Rich Fool was not his wealth, but his lack of commitment to anything else. It is important for us to have a plan to manage our resources. The Rich Fool never discovered the joy of generosity. The Rich man was a fool because he neglected his responsibilities to God.
