Tom's guest this morning was dietician Diana Reid who came on the Breakfast Show to talk about a new series of online support groups for young people suffering with eating disorders. Diana is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and offers ersonalized medical nutrition counseling for individuals, couples and families in Luxembourg. According to Diana there has been an increase in the number of cases of eating disorders in young people since the pandemic. Eating disorders can take many forms such as binge-eating, bulimia and anorexia and can manifest in young people for various reasons including genetic dispositions and environment and social inflences. These online group sessions will provide a safe space for young people to discuss their eating disorders without judgement and in collaboration with others that are going through similar struggles. Clarisse Fahrtmann from the publications department of Mudam joined us on the Breakfast Show to talk us through us through what goes on behind the scenes of a part of the museum, which some might be less familiar with but which is an important part of the museum’s output. Clarisse studied art history at Central Saint Martins and NYU before beginning to work in publishing in New York. Before joining the team at MUDAM she worked at Sotheby's putting together their sales catalogs. Clarisse is responsible for putting together the books that Mudam publish alongside their programme of exhibitions. From making editorial decisions about what to include with a book, working with graphic designers to choosing which materials and paper to use she oversees the process of creating the books from start to finish. Recently Clarisse has worked on books for Zoe Leonard and Peter Halley and is currently working on a book about the work of Luxembourgish artist Michel Majerus who currently has an exhibition running at the mu

Tom's guest on the Breakfast Show this morning was Stilbe Schroeder, curator at the Casino art gallery in Luxembourg City, who came on the show to tell us about two exhibitions that will be opening soon as part of the European Month of Photography. The European Month of Photography takes place biannually in capitals around Europe. The theme for this year's edition is 'Rethinking Identity'. In response to this the team at Casino has collaborated with Luxembourgish organisation Cafe Creme to co-curate the exhibition 'Bodies of Identities' that will feature the work of 20 artists from around the world and take place on the 1s floor gallery of Casino. On the ground floor, the exhibition 'Tills' by experimental photographer Raphael Lecoquierre in collaboration Lou Drago will take place, dealing with the topics of time and evolution featuring gradually morphing soundscapes and physical media.
