  • 28. The practice that will change your body image [solo episode]

    04/10/2017 Duración: 53min

Intuitive eating sounds great, right? But to actually make the leap and fully abandon dieting, well that's the hard part. But in this week's episode Holly explains the exact practice that sparked her to once and for all make peace with her body and let go of the food obsession.  This practice helped Holly let go of counting calories, carbs, macros and allowed her to eat what felt and sounded good moment to moment. It helped her stop binge eating, and enabled her to step out of the diet cycle for good.  If you're stuck in the diet cycle this ep. could change the game. • 24. On healthism: what it is & why we need to question our pursuit of health

    31/08/2017 Duración: 41min

In this month's solo episode, Holly is talking about how healthism is yet another way our culture has found to 'other,' oppress and stigmatize fatness. We talk about why health isn't something you morally need to work towards, and how this pursuit is harming more people than it is doing good.  At the end of the day I want you to start questioning your own reasons for pursuing health and wellness, and ask yourself whether or not it's something you really want to spend your time and energy on. And if it IS, get clear about why. I also want you to start to be way more conscious about the "health" and weight messages you're putting out into the universe, so that we can stop this perpetuation of unrealistic beauty, health and body standards.
